Krafty hop: "Under the sea!"

We're so excited! It’s our MAY RELEASE Day at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!! And we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP!! So grab yourself a cuppa joe, sit back and be prepared for some krafty eye kandy! We're going to inspire your creations with our fun, new stamps!

Krafty peeks day 3: You're fin-tastic!

Wonderful Wednesday: Oceans of love!!

Hi everyone! 

Today another card with a rubber stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! 

It's time for another Wonderful Wednesday again!

I've used my coloured image from my tutorial "How to colour a beachy background?".

How to color a beach!

Hi everyone!

I'm here today with a another quick tutorial "how to colour a beach"! 

It's almost summer and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has so many beautiful beachy stamps. I thought it would be great if you could colour an ocean  as a background.

I've used the beautiful Sunnie, she is perfect for this!

Draw a line for your horizon with the BG11. The upper half becomes your sky

 and the bottom half your sea!

First you can color the sky

Now you can draw a line with your B18 for the horizon

Blend your line out with the BG49 and make some extra stripes in the water

Blend these "lines" out with the BG15 

Blend it out again with the BG13 and make an extra flickline at knee height 

Blend everything with BG11

Blend and soften it with BG10

Make flicks and dots, leave enough white space to make the illusion of "foam" on the water.

Add some extra grey for the depth with your C0 marker

Now your sea is done, let's focus on the sand!

Colour your sand with the E50 marker, it doesn't have to be perfect

Color it again with your E41

Add with your E43 heaps of sand and blend it out with the E41

Now you can blend it out a little more if you want.

Here's the finished image!!

New arrival!

Hallo iedereen!

Vandaag heb ik voor het colourstock blog een kaartje gemaakt voor een baby, een meisje!!!

Deze keer heb ik voor dit babyolifantje gekozen die gewiegd wordt in de slurf van de mama. Ik vind het zo'n schattig tafereeltje!

De stempel is trouwens van Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps en heet "A Mother's Love!" 

De kaart zelf heb ik tamelijk eenvoudig gehouden. Voor de kaartvorm heb ik een malletje gebruikt. Het designpapier heb ik allemaal gemat op witte cardstock en zo ziet het er lekker licht uit.

Het stempeltje wou ik zonder zwarte randen om het een zachter uiterlijk te geven, daarom heb ik in plaats van de zwarte Memento inkt eens de "London fog" gebruikt.Dat is een grijze inkt en dus ideaal bij de grijze kleur van de olifant.

Als er dingen zijn zoals de oogjes, wenkbrauwen en het haarlokje die je graag zwart wil, dan kan je erover tekenen met je Copic Multiliner. 

Het afdrukje is ook uitgestanst, gemat en verhoogd opgeplakt.

Verder is de kaart aangekleed met bloemetjes, parels en de vlaggenstans.

Hallo allemaal, 

Hier ben ik weer! 

Deze keer heb ik een kaart gemaakt om een jong koppeltje een dikke proficiat te wensen met hun huwelijk!

De digi stamp is er eentje van Redonkadoodles.

De vorm van de kaart waarop ik mijn designpapier gemat heb, heb ik uitgesneden met de Silhouette Cameo.

Daarna een vierkantje gemat en mijn stans. Het ingekleurd koppeltje staat er verhoogd op met foamblokjes, evenals de stans van de duifjes (Noor! Design). 

De kaart heb ik nog aangekleed met een zelfgemaakte bloem uit vellum (een stans van Noor! Design) en enkele gekochte bloemen. 

Die heb ik ook nog van glitter voorzien, op zo'n kaart kan dit voor mij niet ontbreken!

Ook de bruidsjurk mocht van mij wel wat subtiele glitter hebben. Nadat ik de afbeelding heb ingekleurd heb ik deze met mijn Copic glitterpen "At you Spica clear" bewerkt.

Ik vind die glitter echt geweldig omdat het zo subtiel is en omdat het je kleurwerk niet verknalt!
