CAS challenge at KKS: Ya scalliwag!

Welcome back for another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

There were so many beautiful entries last week, let's do this again!!

This time Tracy is our hostess and her challenge for us all is "Clean and simple".

So create a card or altered item with a CAS  look.

Less embellishments and more focus on the image!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps bloghop: Have a whale of a time!

Bloghop Multiliners

Bij Colourstock willen we elke maand een product uitlichten om jullie te laten zien wat er allemaal verkrijgbaar is. Deze keer zijn dat de Multiliners van Copic, deze zijn ideaal te gebruiken bijvoorbeeld bij Zentangle.

De Copic Multiliner is ontwikkeld om samen te kunnen gaan met de Copic Markers. Wanneer je tekent of schrijft met de Copic Multiliner en je gaat erover heen met een Copic Marker, zal de inkt niet uitlopen.

Ik wist meteen wat ik hiermee wou doen!

Ik heb hier twee zeemeerminstempels gebruikt van Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps "Sea jewels".

De Copic multiliner is ideaal voor een achtergrond of scene te maken.

Ik heb hier gebruik gemaakt van de 0.1 dikte van de multiliner.

Hier heb ik de stenen en de plantjes er al bijgetekend. Je hoeft daar echt geen kunstenaar voor te zijn. Het zijn gewoon maar enkele simpele lijnen. 

Als ik het kan, kunnen jullie het ook!

Dit is dan mijn afgewerkte kaart geworden. 

Ik hoop dat jullie ze leuk vinden.

Dan ga ik je nu bombarderen met een heleboel kleuren:

Voor de rest heb ik mijn kaartje heel simpel gehouden, het kleurwerk moet hier centraal staan.

Het papier komt nog van een oud blokje van "Me And My Big Ideas".

Kraftin' Kimmie peeks day 1: Ahoy!!!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks day 1!

Today we have a wonderful new set from the awesome Annie Rodrigue to show you, called "BOOTYLICIOUS"!

And I have to tell... it's gorgeous!!!

Yo ho, yo ho!! 

For my card I've used the paperpad "Ahoy there" from Carta Bella. I tought this was perfect for this stamps.
The blue paper I've made myself (with embossingpowder)  with one of the stamps we release at saturday!

You'll find a bounty of gorgeous creations on today's hop featuring both new images and sentiments from the set, PLUS you might see some old pirate sets along the way.....such as Billy Blyth, Cutthroat Lizzie, Polly, Captain Scurvy and our Pirate Sentiments set!! We know you are just going to LOVE these saucy ladies and be inspired by all the fun designs!!

ALL of our JUNE stamps will be available on Saturday night at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!!! Hallo iedereen!

Vandaag laat ik jullie een kaartje zien die ik gemaakt heb voor mijn broer die 24 werd.

Ik vind mannenkaarten altijd dat tikkeltje moeilijker om te maken, het begint al bij de stempelkeuze.

Na een stoere stempel (hij doet me een beetje denken aan John Travolta in de film Grease) gekozen te hebben, ben ik aan mijn papierzoektocht begonnen.

Uiteindelijk heb ik dat papier gekozen omdat ik echt iets wou doen met blauw!

Ik kies altijd eerst mijn papier, bij het kleuren gebruik je dan deze als referentie.

Stempel: "Danny" Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Ik heb de kaart heel simpel gehouden en het formaat is 15x15cm.

De verschillende designpapiertjes gemat, waarvan ééntje die een visgraatvorm gekregen heeft aan het uiteinde. Touwtje er rond en een grote rode knoop eraan gehangen.

De vlaggen zijn afkomstig van een vlaggenstans van Noor! Design, evenals de "happy birthday" en de cijfers 24 heb ik uitgeknipt uit het designpapier.

En dan nu de Copic kleurtjes:

Wonderful wednesday: "Sandy toes"

Hi everyone!!!

Today it's time for another Wonderful Wednesday at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and it's like always "anything goes". So grab your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and play with them!!!

For this card I've used a stamp from the latest release "Beachy Keen"

The paper is my favorite right now: "Summer Bliss" from Echo Park.

The flipflops are cutted with the Silhouette Cameo.

Did you already know I've made a tutorial how to colour a beach like this??

Hieperdepiep!!!

Hallo iedereen!

Vandaag ben ik er weer met een kaartje voor de verjaardag van een 80-jarig vrouwtje.

Ik heb daarvoor dit lief olifantje gebruikt!

Het afdrukje is helemaal ingekleurd met Copic markers. 

Bij de bloem heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een gamma oranje en geel tinten.(de gebruikte kleuren kan je onderaan mijn bericht vinden) 

Nu vind ik persoonlijk dat de bloem te weinig "diepte" krijgt door enkel met oranje in te kleuren. Ik hou wel van een iets groter contrast. Wees dan niet bang en accentueer de dieptes met een bruintint. 

Na je de details donkerder gemaakt hebt, kan je het bruin terug gaan uitblenden.

Dit is dan mijn afgewerkt plaatje.

En dit is dan de kaart die ik ermee gemaakt heb:

Het is een 14.5 x 14.5 formaat geworden, waarvan de rechterhoekjes afgerond zijn met een pons. De designpapiertjes heb ik allemaal gemat. Een toefje bloemen kon natuurlijk ook niet ontbreken.

Ik heb de vlaggetjes uitgedraaid en er met stickers haar leeftijd op gedaan. De tekststempel is ook uitgedraaid en gemat.
