Decorating the Christmas Tree

Today is my last guest post for Make It Crafty, I’m sad but it was so much fun! I want to say a BIG thank you to Zoe and her amazing and talented team to let me join this fantastic group.

This time I made a Christmas card, I need a lot of them to sent to friends and family.

I used the adorable digital image “Christmas Tree Decorating“. I think this little girl is so adorable! It reminds me decorating the tree and how hard that can be. You want your tree to be perfect, at least I try ;-)

Santa Paws!

Hi everyone!

Did you already started on your Christmas cards? Well, I did! But I need many more this year.  
There's a winter/christmas challenge at Copic marker Europa.

I made this card with traditional Christmas colours featuring the stampset "Santa Paws" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I used some paper by My Mind's Eye "Sugar Plum".

Hi Make It Crafty fans!

I’m such a fan of all the geeky stamps by Make It Crafty. Did you already see this one, “Geeky Rascal Pulls Christmas Tree”? I think it’s such a funny image, look how the parents react on this, haha!

My niece and her husband got a baby and  I think it’s perfect for the litlle boy’s first Christmas!

I coloured this whole image with my Copic markers, here are the colours I’ve used:

Halloween challenge!

Hi everyone!

 I'm the hostess for the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this week. Are you ready for Halloween? We don't celebrate Halloween in Belgium but I love to make some cards in this theme! 
It's so much fun to experiment with colours or textures.

For this card I've used the gorgeous stampset "Harvest Blessings".
I coloured the images with my Copic markers and created a background with some watercolours.
The bats are a stencil that I made by myself using a plastic sheet and some bat dies.

Krafty tips and tutes: creating a mirror effect

Hi everyone!

Krafty Girl Deborah here with a little tutorial for you!

It's almost Halloween, so I thought to share a little trick to give a mirror effect to your colouring.

I used the gorgeous stamp Witch Wanda.

First you have the colour the whole image or the mirror part, just like you coloured the main image.

After that you just start to flick some stipes on a corner of the mirror with the darkest colour ( Copic W5).

Of course you can do the same with pencils or other colouringmediums.

Next step is to flick the previous lines a bit further into the mirror with the medium colour (W3)

 Blend the colours out with a W1 marker and go a bit in the coloured part of the face in the mirror

 Blend everything a bit together with the lightest colour. (W1)

Add some white lines with Copic Opaque White or a white Shapie pen on the mirror and  erase it a bit with your fingers and tadaaaaa.... There's the effect!

 I said it was simple, right?!

Geeky Love Kiss

Hi everyone!

Today I’m back with some new inspiration for you! This time I made a card for some friends who are getting married saturday. I’m so excited!!

When I saw this image (Geeky Love Kiss), I knew this would be perfect for them. They are so sweet and romantic. I made a simple card to focus on the image and just added a gorgeous frame wich I’ve embossed with some golden embossing powder.

Witchy Wanda

Hi everyone!

Guess what’s my favorite time of the year, except summer? Halloween, but we don’t celebrate it here in Belgium. I love all the witches, Halloween decorations and all the lights. It feels so cozy! So I made another Halloween card with such a gorgeous witch!

She’s called Witchy Wanda, even her name is cute! I coloured her with my Copic markers, here are all the colours I’ve used:

Krafty Girl Deborah here with some inspiration. I love to make Christmas cards lately, I'm already in the mood! I made a mailproof card, that means it's completely flat. I used the adorable stampset "Shake It Up!" and the sentiment is from "The Magic of Christmas". 

I used a new die from Crafter's Companion, it's by Sara Davies and it's called "Contemporary Christmas scenic borders".

The die on the bottom is by CreaLies.

Background paper is by Papermania, Festive Frolics and the green paper is a Doodlebug one "Here comes Santa Claus".

The cute deers are coloured with my Copic markers.

Angel singing on moon!

Hi everyone!

 Christmas is coming closer, so I thought to make a little Christmascard. You can never have too much Christmascards, right?!

I’m so in love whith this little angle who’s sitting on the moon, she’s called “Angel Singing on Moon”. Isn’t she adorable?! For this card, I’ve coloured the image with Copic markers and the background is done with some Distress Inks and splatters of water. I’ve made the cardboard stars with golden embossing powder.
